Cause we own it... no reason to give those slimballs anymore ammunition when we are trying to smash them into the dirt. nVidia doesn't need Intel, Intel needs nVidia. Larabee is going to be an epic failure.

Sounds like I need nVidia too...

I need to get on vent so we can talk about this stuff. I'm definitely going to wait until all this is released before I buy anymore hardware though. Sounds like some amazing stuff on the horizon.

What I really want is an external gfx card for my laptop. That would be epic. Any plans for that from nVidia?

they are already available. however, they are expensive and are greatly limited by the PCI-E 1x lane out of the express card slot.

Orly? I must do a better search on the interwebs then.

I figured they'd be pretty expensive. I've been seeing some articles on Engadget and the like about some new ones, Asus was the one I most recently saw, coming out. They looked pretty cool.

I figured they'd be limited as compared to a real video card, but anything is better than what I've got on my laptop now...

Wow this sounds fun. Hardware hasn't been very exciting for me in years (VERY stagnant), but when I overhaul my computer next summer it seems like I'll be having a blast building a new system.

Well to be honest rahja i saw that change a bit coming (from an economical view) and i agree with you on the stance why give intel more ammunition if you want to get rid of them

You guys do realize that competition is a good thing, right? Yay for lower prices, and fewer monopolies!
